IMG0551Rescue Animal Social 12 April - Devizes Conservative Club   £10 - follow for more details

Greetings  and welcome to the Caenhill Countryside Centre web site. We are working with communities to bring agriculture and horticulture to children and young people by providing courses and hands on experiences set on a farm.

Our courses and activities cover agriculture, horticulture and rural skills are mainly delivered at the farm but we also take them to schools and to other educational establishments.

Working with schools, we aim to deliver
courses that will encourage the enjoyment of farming, animals and the countryside.

The project has opportunities for you to help our students and young adults develop skills in Animals welfare, Crops, Machinery, Rural Crafts, Countryside Heritage, Welbeing, Metal work, Wood work, Conservation and countryside media.

As a charity (Registered Charity Number 1177801) we rely on support from volunteers, funders and supporters.

We are based  to the west of Devizes in Wiltshire, very near to the flight of locks at Caen Hill on the Kennet and Avon canal. SN10 5TF follow for map

Volunteering

Volunteering

We have a great team of volunteers who have transformed the farm. We always welcome new volunteers either individual or as a group who have  a passion for the countryside and helping young people learn about farming and the countryside. Volunteering can be for a few hours, a day and as regular as you wish one thing guaranteed you will be made very welcome and make new friends. We do not ask for commitment as we know your time is precious, if you have time maybe once a week, once a month, once a year the time you give will be rewarded knowing you will have made a difference. Volunteers must be 18 and over all if under 18 accompanied by an adult.

Our countryside centre is a caring learning centre many has described as a healing farm. The calm of the countryside and animals makes it a a relaxing centre where we can all Learn with Nature.

While we undertake the work to return this to a fully functioning and sustainable working farm, we will need to take on some projects of clearing and preparation.

There are 10 areas you can help by volunteering.  Looking after the animals, working with crops, repairing machinery, helping in the orchard, digging ponds, repairing buildings, caring for bees, looking after the poultry, preparing the rescue animal area building path and maintaining hedges.

If you would like to join us, support our team, offer some help then please get in touch. contact@caenhillcc.org.uk
