Caenhill Countryside Centre
COVID-19 case numbers are now very high and rising rapidly across the country, driven by the new variant of COVID-19.
The Tier system in Wiltshire is set to protect each other and stop the spread of the virus.
At this current time clinically extremely vulnerable children and young people should not attend school or other educational settings, because the risk of exposure to the virus in the community is now very high.
We are Caenhillcc are abiding by the rules and guidance set down to help and support us all.
- Require people to stay at home, except for specific purposes
- Allow key volunteers to support the welfare of the animals here at Caenhillcc.
- Prevent people gathering with those they do not live with, except for specific purposes.
- Support children and young people to learn remotely until updated guidance is issued - which may not be until February half term.
The current COVID-19 situation has had a great deal of impact on the amount of support the Caenhill Countryside Centre has received or been able to link with. We have limited access and COVID-19 rules
NOTE – please check government updates regularly as these are changing times and new information is regularly added. Please DO NOT rely purely on this document.
Please call to arrange a visit and follow our COVID-19 rules when entering the farm.
Greetings and welcome to the Caenhill Countryside Centre web site. We are working with communities to bring agriculture and horticulture to children and young people by providing courses and hands on experiences set on a farm.
For media / shoutouts please contact my daughter and PR advisor Kara at email@example.com
Our courses and activities cover agriculture, horticulture and rural skills are mainly delivered at the farm but we also take them to schools and to other educational establishments.
Working with schools, we aim to deliver courses that will encourage the enjoyment of farming, animals and the countryside.
The project has opportunities for you to help our students and young adults develop skills in Animals welfare, Crops, Machinery, Rural Crafts, Countryside Heritage, Welbeing, Metal work, Wood work, Conservation and countryside media.
As a charity (Registered Charity Number 1177801) we rely on support from volunteers, funders and supporters.
We are based to the west of Devizes in Wiltshire, very near to the flight of locks at Caen Hill on the Kennet and Avon canal. SN10 5TF follow for map
