Volunteers week Tuesday 15 – Saturday 20 August
Caenhill Countryside Centre offers a variety of volunteering opportunities on their care farm located in Devizes, Wiltshire. Our volunteers, whether volunteering on their own or as part of a team, can engage a wide of activities. These activities include animal care, gardening, maintenance work, and educational programs. Animal care tasks may involve feeding, cleaning out and grooming some of our many animals which include chickens, ducks, goats, pigs, and sheep. Volunteers can also assist with gardening tasks such as establishing new garden areas, planting, weeding, and harvesting crops. Additionally, there are opportunities to help with maintenance work around the farm, such as repairing fences or buildings and building animal pens and shelters. The centre also provides educational programs where volunteers can support workshops and activities for visitors. Volunteering at Caenhill Countryside Centre allows individuals to connect with nature, learn about farming practices, and contribute to the local community.
